Labor Secretary Alex Acosta resigned in connection with Jefferey Epstein’s arrest on sex trafficking charges.
Trump announced Acosta’s resignation before he left for a trip to Wisconsin and Ohio. The president confessed Acosta had been a “great” labor secretary.

“I hate to see this happen,” Trump shared his feelings. He also made it clear that Acosta was not asked to leave the cabinet, this is in fact his own decision.
Acosta informed the media that his resignation will be effective in seven days. Acosta feels that he can’t commit to his job fully while being involved in the Epstein case.
