As President Donald Trump concludes his trip to Japan, he is immediately getting back to addressing the issues at home in the United States.
Trump slammed 2020 candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden over the Democrat’s endorsement o fate “Three Strikes” crime bill that issued life sentences for criminals convicted of a violent felony after two or more prior convictions.
The law has been blasted for targeting the African-American population as well as including drug crimes as violent felonies.
“Super Predator was the term associated with the 1994 Crime Bill that Sleepy Joe Biden was so heavily involved in passing,” Trump shared via Twitter. “That was a dark period in American History, but has Sleepy Joe apologized? No!”
He then followed that up with another tweet implying that Biden can’t win the election because he supported the bill.
Biden’s support for that bill starkly compares to Trump who has signed into law the bipartisan criminal justice reform bill, known as the First Step Act, which actually reduces mandatory minimum prison sentences.
