Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is getting hammered by officials like Kelyanne Conway for making statements designed to cultivate a fear of President Donald Trump.
Pelosi has been spouting off to the media on her belief that if Trump isn’t overwhelmingly beaten in the 2020 race, he will deny the results and refuse to leave office.
“We have to inoculate against that, we have to be prepared for that,” Pelosi has said.
“If we win by four seats, by a thousand votes each, he’s not going to respect the election,” Pelosi has warned of Trump.
However these claims are not going over well with White House officials who are taking a stand for the president.
Kellyanne Conway was the first to speak out, sharing that Pelosi had made “ironic and tone-deaf” claims.
Rudy Giuliani denounced the “malicious” attacks that Democrats are “trying to suggest he’s some kind of monster,” adding, “they should stop.”
Tim Murtaugh, a member of Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, called out Pelosi’s “ridiculous” attacks as “warrantless fear-mongering to rile up her fringe base and the media.”
